Active FX Laser Re-SurfacingTM

Active FX™ with the Lumenis Ultra PULSE Encore is the latest treatment utilizing fractional CO2 laser resurfacing with minimal downtime.

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing decreases the “down time” associated with conventional CO2 laser treatment by at least 50%, to 4 – 7 days.

With a “fractional” CO2 laser, a select portion of the skin is treated leaving small areas of untouched skin. These bridges of healthy skin cells promote faster healing.

The high energy laser beam is used to resurface damaged skin and promote collagen growth, improving fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. It can also improve acne scarring and uneven skin.

After treatment, there may be swelling and crusting of the treated areas. Patients are asked to use compresses and ointments to facilitate healing which usually occurs in 4-7 days.
