Zyderm® was the first filler material approved for use in 1981 by the FDA. Zyderm® paved the way for further study and use of injectable filler technology.

Zyderm® and Zyplast®, a second thicker form of injectable collagen, are formulated from bovine dermal collagen dispersed in a saline solution. Their formulas are differentiated in a way that allows Zyderm® to treat fine lines and wrinkles and Zyplast® to rejuvenate deep lines, furrow and scars.

Before injection, each patient is tested for sensitivity to the collagen treatment.

Results are noticeable immediately. Collagen injection is a minimally invasive procedure. Most patients return to their activities immediately after injection.
