The Cutera CoolGlide Laser is an FDA approved device to permanently remove hair from the face and body. Because it only targets the hair and not the skin, it is fast and safe. All skin shades and skin types may be treated with this hair removal procedure.

Patients with light hair may only see moderate improvement with multiple treatments. White hair does not respond at all. Therefore, results are greatest when the hair has lots of pigment, as the laser energy uses the pigment as a magnet to destroy the hair root.

Only actively growing hairs respond to treatment. Thus, at any time, a significant proportion of our hair is in a resting stage. Three to 5 treatments at 6 week intervals are recommended for optimal results.
