As we age, our collagen, the material that that provides the actual structure to our skin, denatures at the molecular level and causes our skin to sag and wrinkle.

Thermage™ employs a patented radiofrequency technology to heat collagen material in the dermis, while cooling and protecting the epidermis. The heat reconstitutes the existing collagen structure and encourages the creation of new collagen. As the collagen remodels itself over a period of a few months, the treated skin becomes tighter and lines and wrinkles are reduced into smoother, more youthful skin.

During the treatment, the patient experiences a brief heating sensation, indicating that the collagen in that subdermal area has been treated.

Results are seen as the underlying skin heals. You may see changes in contour and texture as early as 2 months and will continue to see results through approximately 6 months.
